Hello Grace,

You are right that ๅ—ๅ””ไฝ(sau6 m4 zyu6) and ๅฟๅ””ไฝ(jan2 m4 zyu6) both of them mean "cannot tolerate". ๐Ÿ‘

ๅ—(sau6)~ accept, stand

ๅฟ(jan2) ~ endure, tolerate.

What's the difference between sau6 m4 zyu6 and jan2 m4 zyu6? Don't they both mean, 'can't tolerate'?

Hello penny lawton

ๅฟๅ— (jan2 sau6)~ to bear, to stand

ๅ—(sau6)~ to tolerate, to stand, to receive

You are right that they can be used interchangeably. ?

But for the phrase ๆˆ‘ๅ—ๅ””ไฝๆฐฃ((ngo5 sau6 m4 zhu6 hei3), only use ๅ—(sau6) instead of ๅฟๅ—(jan2 sau6) sounds more natural.
