Please could you make it clearer when lessons are in written Chinese with Cantonese pronunciation versus spoken Cantonese? It's really confusing for beginners. 唔該晒!

Hi Megan,

Both 吃(hek3) and 食(sik6) mean "eat" .

食 (sik6)is more colloquial in Cantonese but 吃(hek3)is the written form.

Hi Jimmy,

"I just woke up" in Cantonese is 我啱啱醒咗 (ngo5 aam1 aam1 seng2 zo2)

啱啱 (aam1 aam1) means "just now"

Hi Grace,

Yes that's right, this series feature written Cantonese.

And the colloquial form of 女人正在喝水 is 個女人飲緊水.

Hello,

Are the sentences introduced here the formal Cantonese which are used in written style? So actually we will say 女人飲緊水 instead of 女人正在喝水 in oral, right?

Hello Michael,

Thank you for taking the time to write us a feedback. It's great to hear you're enjoying our courses!

About the female voice, I'll forward your comment to the correspondent team in charge of the desing of the future lessons.

About the video, I've checked it and it's fine.

It can be a browser or a cache issue, I have personally this kind of issues with some website.

Please let me know if you still have this issue.

Thank you again,

Regards,

Mélanie

This is the second time I have tried to watch vídeos in this course and I have never managed. The fault is not my computer's as I can watch all sorts of other vídeos. I would like to say that I am enjoying the classes very much, except for the fact that I am a man and it is almost always a woman who is speaking. Perhaps you could alternate. But please get the vídeo fixed.
