| In this lesson, you’ll learn conversational phrases to answer the question, "What are you going to talk about?" After watching this video, you’ll be able to introduce a topic you want to talk about. |

| 你要講啲咩？ (nei5 jiu3 gong2 di1 me1?) |
| 我要講我嘅興趣。 (ngo5 jiu3 gong2 ngo5 ge3 hing3 ceoi3.) |
| Once more with the English translation. |
| 你要講啲咩？ (nei5 jiu3 gong2 di1 me1?) |
| “What are you going to talk about?” |
| 我要講我嘅興趣。 (ngo5 jiu3 gong2 ngo5 ge3 hing3 ceoi3.) |
| “I'm going to talk about my hobbies.” |
| First of all you'll need to learn how to say “What are you going to talk about?” |
| That's: |
| 你要講啲咩？ (nei5 jiu3 gong2 di1 me1?) |
| Listen to it again: |
| 你要講啲咩？, 你要講啲咩？ (nei5 jiu3 gong2 di1 me1?, nei5 jiu3 gong2 di1 me1?) |
| This Cantonese sentence literally translates as “You are going to talk what?” |
| But it means “What are you going to talk about?”. |
| Now, how do you answer this question? |
| The pattern is: |
| 我要講 [topic]。 (ngo5 jiu3 gong2 [topic].) |
| “I'm going to talk about [topic].” |
| For example: |
| “I'm going to talk about my hobbies.” |
| 我要講我嘅興趣。, 我要講我嘅興趣。 (ngo5 jiu3 gong2 ngo5 ge3 hing3 ceoi3., ngo5 jiu3 gong2 ngo5 ge3 hing3 ceoi3.) |
