Hi everyone! Welcome to Cantonese Weekly Words! I’m Olivia, and today’s topic is Color! Let’s see what our first word is.
紅色 (hung4 sik1)
紅色 (hung4 sik1) is red. That’s what I’m wearing today.
今日我著紅色衫。(gam1 jat6 ngo5 zoek3 hung4 sik1 saam1.) “Today I wear a red top.”
藍色 (laam4 sik1)
藍色 (laam4 sik1) is blue
天空係藍色嘅。(tin1 hung1 hai6 laam4 sik1 ge3.) “The sky is blue.”
綠色 (luk6 sik1)
綠色 (luk6 sik1) is green
我有一個綠色袋。(ngo5 jau5 jat1 go3 luk6 sik1 doi2.) “I have a green bag.”
黃色 (wong4 sik1)
黃色 (wong4 sik1) is yellow. In a sentence: 我有一架黃色車。(ngo5 jau5 jat1 gaa3 wong4 sik1 ce1.)
我有一架黃色車。(ngo5 jau5 jat1 gaa3 wong4 sik1 ce1.) “I have a yellow car.” That’s not true.
黑色 (hak1 sik1)
黑色 (hak1 sik1) is black
我頭髮係黑色嘅。(ngo5 tau4 faat3 hai6 hak1 sik1 ge3.) “My hair is black.”
