Hello Vincent,

有需要嘅話,隨時嗌我。

jau5 seoi1 jiu3 ge3 waa2, ceoi4 si4 aai3 ngo5.

If you need help just call me.

Your explanation is perfect!! -- "If you need ...," so that the word "help" (or "anything/something", etc.) is not literally stated, but implied? 👍👍

In the Dialogue's last sentence ("jau5 seoi1 jiu3 ge3 waa2, ceoi4 si4 aai3 ngo5. If you need help just call me."), is the first clause literally "If you need ...," so that the word "help" (or "anything/something", etc.) is not literally stated, but implied? What does "ceoi4"隨 and "si4"時 literally mean individually, and together as used in that sentence?

In the vocabulary sentence for "jan4 mat2 zyun6 gei3: biography" ("jan4 mat6 zyun6 gei3 gei3 seot6 jan4 mat2 ge3 sang1 ping4 si6 zik1. A biography describes the character's life story."), what is the meaning of "seot6"述 individually and "gei3 seot6" 記述, and "sang1"生, "ping4"平, "si6"事 and "zik1"跡, individually and together if they form a word together? Thank you, again, for your helpful explanations!.

Hello Mason Ling,

I found the word "abound" you mentioned in the “Cultural Insight of the Lesson Note PDF on Page 5” right beneath the headline “Finding English Bookstores in Hong Kong”.

English language bookstores abound in Hong Kong, while Chinese language stores are actually somewhat harder to find.

I think the word "abound" is correct. It means "to exist in large numbers". Actually there are lots of English language bookstores in Hong Kong so it could be easier for people to look for English bookstore than the Chinese language bookstores in Hong Kong.

Feel free to send us any questions and appreciate so much for your kindness.

My question is regarding 都會係書店呢 I am unsure if this is saying she is always at/in a bookstore ...

The beginning of her statement says she is always, will be.

Hello lo taai,

Thank you for your comment.

人物傳記 (jan4 mat2 zyun6 gei3) and 人物傳記 ((jan4 mat6 zyun6 gei3) can be used interchangeably. The word 物(mat2) can be pronounced as 物(mat6) in this case. But the person pronounced 人物傳記 ((jan4 mat2 zyun6 gei3) in the Vocabulary section so thank you so much for letting us know and we will change it as soon as possible.

I have checked all the audio files of the word 哲學 (zit3 hok6) in the vocabulary section but I do not find any problem. I hope this is the vocabulary section you are talking about. 哲學 zit3 hok6, 請問哲學書放喺邊度?cing2 man6 zit3 hok6 syu1 fong3 hai6 bin1 dou6? Thank you so much for your time and kindness for reporting this.
