Eric: First, we’ll start with how to say 'I don't have a pen.' in Cantonese.
Olivia: [Normal] 我冇筆。(ngo5 mou5 bat1)
Eric: First is a pronoun meaning 'I'
Olivia: [Normal] 我 [Slow] 我 (ngo5)
Eric: Next is the verb meaning 'to not have'

Olivia: If you want to answer negatively but without being too direct, you can say 唔係好 (m4 hai6 hou2). This means "I don't really...." For example, if you want to say "I don't really eat meat," you can say 我唔係好食肉(ngo5 m4 hai6 hou2 sik6 juk6.)
