Mac OS X : Display Chinese characters in PDF

Postby jp_rivard » July 6th, 2010 8:53 am

Hello, I seem to be unable to display the chinese characters in the PDF file. I don't know exactly what's wrong because I can actually see them outside of these particular PDF file (never tried to open another chinese PDF file, so it can be scoped down to Chinese and PDF file)...

Any idea on what I should do to be able to display them, knowing my OS is Mac OS X (Leopard) ?

Thanks

Looking more attentively to the PDF files, it seems it is rather due to the font used for the overall english text. I am able to see Chinese characters, but I do have a lot of squares instead of english texts. If I cuopy/paste the content, I am able to read it in another application, using a generic font.
