Can David actually understand Cantonese?

Just wondering since i havent' heard him speak any...

In Japanesepod101 the English host will sometimes reply in Japanese but not in Cantoneseclass101...

Ha ha. I understand much better than I speak, but yes - I try to avoid speaking Cantonese so that the focus can be on native speakers instead of showcasing my mistakes. :)
