Hello Steve Tong,

You are exactly right!! 👍👍

嘅(ge3) is more colloquial expression and 的(dik1) is the formal or written form.

Is it okay to use 嘅 instead of 的 when saying "最重要的東西"? I read somewhere that 嘅 is often used to turn phases into adjectives e.g. "美國最著嘅大學" to describe America's most famous university. I hear 嘅 used more than 的 in everyday speech. Is it more casual?
